Stiltz Lifts celebrates Freechoice Group as the first graduate of the Stiltz Home Lift Training Academy, now independently installing innovative domestic lifts.
Freechoice Group Becomes First Company To Graduate From Stiltz Training Academy

Stiltz Lifts is delighted to announce that disability access specialist Freechoice Group has become the first company to graduate from the Stiltz Home Lift Training Academy.
The Banbury-based company, which has installed and maintained through-floor lifts for wheelchair users across the Midlands and South East since 2004, signed up to the Stiltz Lifts scheme which allows selected partner companies to install Stiltz domestic lifts into customers’ homes themselves.
We launched the Academy last November with the currently free of charge training held on demand at our headquarters in Kingswinford, West Midlands.
Freechoice Group sent engineers to the Stiltz purpose-built training facility where they received classroom theory and hands-on practical installation training. The disability access company successfully undertook their third and final customer installation – which was overseen by Stiltz – to become the Academy’s very first Accredited Stiltz Lifts Installer Partner this month.
Freechoice Group can now assume responsibility for almost the entire customer journey, rather than relying on Stiltz installation teams to help complete the projects. The company can also expect to receive priority dealer support from Stiltz, including technical training on new products, marketing support and customer service.
Freechoice Group Managing Director David Kennard said: “We were immediately attracted to the Stiltz brand because their home lifts are completely unique within the industry. There are no hydraulics, no lift shaft or pit, no load bearing walls – the Stiltz lift is a self-supporting structure and plugs straight into the wall and runs off mains electricity supply.
“Once you have removed the aperture from the ceiling, the lift is relatively easy and quick to install. It will usually take five days to install a traditional through-floor lift but a Stiltz Lift, depending on the application, can take a day or two to install.
“We install through-floor lifts for wheelchair users in countless households and businesses and we also like the fact Stiltz offer their unique thru car wheelchair lift option which means the wheelchair user can enter on one side of the lift on ground level and leave from the other side once they have reached the first floor. There is only one way in and one way out with a traditional lift but these guys have thought of everything.
“Freechoice Group is delighted to become the first company to graduate from the Stiltz Home Lift Training Academy. The training, support and advice we have received from Stiltz has been absolutely brilliant and we are proud to be associated with such a strong and innovative company.”
Gino Farruggio, Stiltz Lifts National Sales Manager – UK Trade said: “Freechoice Group have worked very hard to become an Accredited Stiltz Lifts Installer Partner and we look forward to building a long and successful relationship with them.”

Customer Testimonials
My experience with Stiltz Homelifts. Just over a month ago, I had my Stiltz lift installed and I am so pleased with it. The workmen that came and fitted it were very professional and knew what they were doing. They were so professional I would not hesitate to recommend Stiltz lifts to anybody.
Excellent from beginning to end – and beyond.
Everybody we dealt with at Stiltz was very helpful and efficient, from the initial meeting with Nick Sale, the sales rep, thorough technical inspection, the builders, installers, plumber, electrician, and excellent follow up service and attention. My husband’s life is transformed and mine is much easier. Thank you Stiltz.
An excellent company from the first contact to the completed project. All personnel were friendly and very polite but stayed extremely professional throughout. Having been in the construction industry for over 40 years I was aware the preparation work was carried out to a high standard by the best of trades people. The lift itself can not be faulted both the operation and aesthetics.
